Well, Ford teamed up with actress Gabrielle Union to show-off the all-new 2022 version of this nameplate that's a lot different from its predecessor!
For starters, the 2022 Ford Maverick marks our brand’s return to the compact truck market. Also add the fact that it’s the first-ever standard full-hybrid pickup with the use of a 2.5L Atkinson-cycle 4-cylinder powertrain that’s projected to provide superior city fuel economy when compared to a Honda Civic.
2022 Ford Maverick Performance
The hybrid powertrain above not only delivers 191 hp & 155 lb/ft of torque, but is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that allows for fuel economy rated at up to an EPA-estimated 40 mpg city and full-tank driving range of up to 500 miles. You'll also get enough power to handle 1,500 lbs of payload (or a standard ATV) and tow up to 2,000 lbs (enough for a pair of personal watercraft or a pop-up camper trailer).
