That's because it offers fuel economy rated at up to an EPA-estimated 100 MPGe combined and an all-electric driving range of up to 37 miles, perfect for running errands or a shorter daily commute.
Under the hood of the all-new Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid Ford’s innovative 4th-generation hybrid propulsion system, which is a combination of an all-new 2.5L Atkinson cycle hybrid engine & electronic continuously variable transmission. This model offers a 110-volt Level 1 charger that brings your vehicle back to a full battery in 10-11 hours, as well as a 240-volt Level 2 charger that reduces the charge time to about 3.5 hours.
The battery is stored underneath the passenger compartment, allowing for additional interior space for yourself and up to 4 other passengers. The Plug-in Hybrid is offered on the Escape SE, SEL & Titanium trims.
