The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) provides tough & rigorous testing when it rates vehicles for their safety including:

- Side pole crash test for hitting a phone pole with your driver’s side
- Rollover resistance test for rolling over on a highway's sharp curve

2020 Ford F-150: 2 Awards
The 2020 Ford F-150 also received the accolades that we just spoke about above. First, the NHTSA 5-Star Overall Safety Rating applies to the SuperCrew configuration that gives you 4 doors and is available in a number of different trims for this pickup truck.
Car and Driver gave the Raptor trim the 2020 Editors’ Choice Award in the Full-Size Pickup Truck category due to its powerful twin-turbo V6, imposing presence, long-travel suspension & how it performs in off-road driving. And did you know that the Ford F-150 Raptor was named one of Autotrader’s 15 Best Cars of the Decade from 2010-2019 because of its exclusive performance features?
2020 Ford Ranger: 2 Awards
Last year, the Ford Ranger returned & made an impact. This year, this truck won a couple of prestigious accolades, with a #1 ranking in the Cars.com 2020 American-Made Index since it beat out 90 other vehicles for contributing the most to the U.S. economy due to the U.S. factory jobs, manufacturing plants & parts sourcing it provides.
The 2020 Ford Ranger also topped the J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS) in the Midsize Pickup category, beating out the 2020 Chevy Colorado & 2020 Honda Ridgeline. That’s because this truck ranked highest in customer surveys talking about their experience in the first 90 days of ownership in these categories:

2020 Ford Super Duty: 2 Awards
Speaking of the IQS, J.D. Power ranked the 2020 Ford Super Duty the highest in the Large Heavy-Duty Pickup category and bested the other finalist in the segment: the 2020 Chevy Silverado HD. In addition, the Ford F-350 Dually won the 2020 Gold Hitch Award for Best Heavy Duty Towing Truck from The Fast Lane Truck (TFLtruck) thanks to the Power Stroke V8 diesel engine under the hood.
This model unanimously beat out the 2020 GMC Sierra HD with the Duramax diesel engine & 2020 Ram 3500 with the Cummins I6 diesel engine due to its performance in a towing test up & down the Ike Gauntlet with a fully-loaded trailer weighing 30,000 lbs. The 2020 Ford F-350 Dually did the following:
- Delivered the quickest up the mountain by more than 1 minute over the 2nd-place competitor
- Provided the most fuel efficiency on a flat highway
- Accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in the fastest amount of time
2020 Ford Explorer: 3 Awards
The redesigned 2020 Ford Explorer also earned a couple of accolades, starting with receiving a spot on the Wards 10 Best UX list. UX stands for user experience and this SUV provides an amazing one thanks to amenities like:

The 2020 Ford Edge not only got a 5-Star Overall Safety Rating from the NHTSA, but was also named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). That’s because it scored the highest ratings of Superior for front crash prevention & Good in the following collision tests:

Parents Magazine also named the Edge as one of their 20 Best Family Cars of 2020. 2020 Ford Escape: 5 Awards
Like the Edge, the 2020 Ford Escape was also named an IIHS Top Safety Pick and received a NHTSA 5-Star Overall Safety Rating. Not to mention being on the Wards 10 Best UX list due to the cabin’s environment provided thanks to the following details:
