Christian Seabaugh, Motor Trend features editor, enjoyed how the Ford F-150 XL made towing 5,000 lbs and parking the trailer so simple, while Ed Loh loved the functionality inside including how the backup camera enhanced the experience of connecting the trailer to the truck.
Seabaugh & Motor Trend en Español editor Miguel Cortina felt impressed by the power delivered by the Ford F-150 Lariat, while road test editor Chris Walton touted about the truck’s chassis, braking ability and drifting experience. Loh gave kudos to the airbag-equipped rear seat belts and lane keeping assist system.
Walton was impressed that the Ford F-150 Platinum’s V8 was able to keep up with and surpass the Raptor when driving a quarter mile and kept steady at high speeds as it towed 9,000 lbs, while Seabaugh liked how the leather, wood trim and quiet & comfortable cabin makes this model fee like a luxury truck.
Judges enjoyed the performance of the Ford F-150 Raptor. Between the quick acceleration, capable transmission, long metal steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, cornering ability and off-roading capability, the Raptor was enjoyed by all.
