Coming Soon: 2017 Ford Focus RS AWD to New Jersey.
Ford has made a commitment to produce over a dozen new performance models by 2020, and the 2017 Ford Focus RS is on the list. Car lovers everywhere can hardly contain their excitement as this marks the first time Ford will offer a Focus RS in the United States. So if you’re due for a new car soon, keep an eye out for when the 2017 Ford Focus RS is released in New Jersey in early 2016.
Prepare to Want One.
Ford has a reputation of going above and beyond their customer’s expectations, and they’ve done it again with the 2017 Ford Focus RS. The normal Focus ST has nothing on the Focus RS that will be available next year. Instead of the typical 252 horsepower and 270 lb/ft of torque, the 2017 Focus RS is said to have over 320 horsepower and at least 320 lb/ft of torque. The RS features a 2.3L four-cylinder EcoBoost engine with upgraded alloy material that can withstand insanely high temperatures. With all its power and speed, you’d be crazy not to want the new Focus RS.
The Beauty of All-Wheel Drive.
Past Focus models have been front-wheel drive vehicles, but Ford decided it was time for a change. The 2017 Ford Focus RS will feature an innovative all-wheel drive system paired with dynamic torque vectoring control. Its top-notch all-wheel drive system allows the RS to:
- Send 70% of the drive torque to the back of the car
- Divert power from either side of the rear axle
- Handle rough conditions with ease
Put the Fun Back Into Driving.
The 2017 Ford Focus RS is not your typical Focus. The improved transmission and clutch give the RS an edge over previous Focus models. While it may still have a six-speed manual gearbox like the Focus ST, the Focus RS was built for speed and clocks in at speeds up to 186 mph. And with the same 2.3L EcoBoost turbo as the new Mustang, it’s no surprise the Focus RS was designed with the racetrack in mind. The 2017 Ford Focus RS will be sure to put the fun back into driving.
